Illustration practice (Max)

After just a brief moment of hesitation, Max ran towards the egg and hugged it. "What are you doing?", asked Alex astonished. Max explained: "I am warming the egg. There is a baby inside of it, but it needs warmth to hatch."

I am satisfied with the outcome of this piece. I did my best in shading, but the piece still lacks depth. As you can probably tell, I had the most trouble with facial anatomy and expression.
